Master Plan 1087 – Lod – The International Quarter
A new residential quarter in Lod, including approximately 11,000 residential units, public buildings, commerce, employment, a transportation center and open spaces.
The main principle in planning the quarter is to create maximum connectivity and continuity between the existing city and the new quarter. The planned street skeleton is based on the continuation of existing and approved streets in the city. The center of the quarter is planned as a mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented area and is linked to the neighborhood hubs on urban boulevards.
In the scope of the plan: changing the characteristics of Highway 200, a transportation center in proximity to the train station, a pedestrian-oriented urban center.
